LOCAL OFFICE · PRICES PUBLISHEDWhat does a Lake Oswego, Oregon web designer do for a local business?
A Lake Oswego web designer plans, designs and codes the site a business sends buyers to. Portland Peak SEO handles all three from its office in the 97034 ZIP code. We hand-code pages, place them in WordPress where needed, and every launch gets 30 days of monitoring.
Every login and the domain also belong to you from day one. This page covers Lake Oswego and the towns beside it, including West Linn and Tualatin. Email and video carry most projects, plus a call whenever a decision needs one.
What do Lake Oswego web design projects cost?
Portland Peak SEO prices web design in Lake Oswego, Oregon as it does everywhere: $2,200, $5,500 or $8,500, paid once. Starter, Growth and Authority are the tier names, in that order. The tier then follows how many pages and services the site needs.
| Tier | One-time price | Pages | Usually live in | A Lake Oswego business it fits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $2,200 | 5 to 8 | 4 to 5 weeks | A Lake Grove boutique, or a home-based firm selling one main service |
| Growth | $5,500 | 10 to 25 | 5 to 8 weeks | A Kruse Way office, or a trade whose crews cover several towns |
| Authority | $8,500 | 30 or more | A date set in the written scope | A multi-location or regional business |
Matching a tier to your business
Starter fits when
You sell one core service from one address, so a few pages tell the whole story.
Growth fits when
Each service or town needs its own page, which is common when crews travel.
Authority fits when
You run several locations, or buyers across the region compare you before they call.
These are the same three tiers our Portland, Oregon web design practice sells across the metro. You pay the host and the domain registrar yourself, so neither sits inside the price. For a first site, our small business website design page also explains what Starter covers.
Selling online? Stores begin at Growth, and our ecommerce website design page weighs WooCommerce against Shopify.

Who does a Lake Oswego business website need to reach?
A Lake Oswego business website needs to reach neighbors, nearby towns and office workers along Kruse Way. The city also counts more than 2,200 businesses and calls itself Clackamas County's largest city. Each Portland Peak SEO page plan then starts from where those buyers are.
| Place | Residents, July 1, 2025 | Residents gained since the 2020 Census |
|---|---|---|
| Lake Oswego | 41,474 | +743 (1.8%) |
| Tigard | 57,091 | +2,552 (4.7%) |
| Tualatin | 28,318 | +376 (1.3%) |
| West Linn | 27,601 | +228 (0.8%) |
| Milwaukie | 21,361 | +242 (1.1%) |
Table 7 of PSU's 2025 annual report tables supplies every row, cell for cell. Those changes and percents run from the April 1, 2020 Census to July 1, 2025. The business count and the county ranking come from the city's economic profile.
Of the five, Tigard grew most since the 2020 Census, at 4.7%, and West Linn least, at 0.8%. A Lake Oswego trade that also serves West Linn and Tualatin, however, reaches their 27,601 and 28,318 residents too.
Where Lake Oswego's businesses cluster
| District | What the city says is there | Where the site should start |
|---|---|---|
| Downtown Lake Oswego | Dining and specialty shopping, lakefront and riverfront parks, and a performing arts center | Current hours, menus or stock, and directions a visitor can follow |
| Kruse Way | More than 2.3 million square feet of office space, with financial, real estate, insurance and professional firms | Clear service pages, named people and a short path to contact |
| Lake Grove Village Center | A refurbished main street with restaurants and small businesses | A page per service, with photos that match the shopfront |
| Home-based businesses | More than 800 across the city | A clear service area in place of a shop address |
The city's business districts overview also lists Mountain Park, Palisades and its industrial zones. Its business page also gives the count of home-based firms.
Opening a business in Lake Oswego
Lake Oswego requires a city business license before most businesses operate, home-based firms included. The city asks for a new application 30 days before opening.
The yearly fee, effective January 1, 2025, is $100 for home-based firms and $200 for 1 to 25 employees. Larger firms pay more, on the city's published fee table.
Plan the website on the same clock, so the site goes live with the business. Starter work takes 4 to 5 weeks from the day you sign the scope. So approve the scope at least five weeks before opening.
Use one business name everywhere, because Google's Business Profile guidelines ask for the real-world name on your storefront and website.

What should a website for a Lake Oswego business include?
A Lake Oswego business site needs phone-first pages, fast loading, one page per service and honest town pages. It also needs accessible design and a redirect plan whenever an older site moves. Portland Peak SEO's builds cover each item, while the sections below explain why each matters to local buyers.
Pages planned for the phone first
Google ranks your pages by what a phone sees. In fact, its mobile-first indexing guide says it uses the mobile version of a site's content for indexing and ranking.
So we design each site at phone width first, then widen it for desktops. The guide also asks for the same primary content on both, so no service or price stays desktop-only.
Speed a buyer can feel
Google's Core Web Vitals guidance sets marks for loading, response and layout shift.
Google measures each one at the 75th percentile of page loads, splitting mobile from desktop. Our custom website design page walks through how a build meets each mark.
A site that matches your Business Profile
Google's profile guidelines ask for a website that represents your individual business location. They also bar profile links that send buyers to landing pages other than the business's own.
So your site should show the same name, phone and hours as the profile. A buyer who checks both then sees one business, not two versions of it.
One page for each town you truly serve
For Blue Heron Services, a Tualatin client, Lake Oswego and West Linn searches behave as separate markets. So a trade that works in both towns needs a page for each, with real work shown.
Google's spam policies list city-targeted pages that all funnel visitors to one destination under doorway abuse. A swapped town name is not enough, so each town page should show jobs, photos or details from that town.
Accessibility rules worth meeting early
The W3C published WCAG 2.2 on 5 October 2023, then updated it on 12 December 2024. It sets testable rules, such as text alternatives for images and visible focus for keyboard users.
Meeting it during design is cheaper than a later retrofit. It also helps every visitor, from a reader with low vision to a parent holding a phone in one hand.
Moving an older site without losing searches
When an address changes, Google's site-move guidance recommends a permanent 301 or 308 redirect from the old one. It also asks you to keep them for a year or longer and to skip chains of hops.
So the redirect map links each old page to its new one directly, before launch day. Our website redesign service builds that map first, then changes the design.

Do you build and support WordPress sites in Lake Oswego?
Portland Peak SEO builds WordPress sites for Lake Oswego teams and supports each one for 30 days after launch. Your staff then changes text and photos in the editor, with no code, though layout work still needs code. After the first month, upkeep is your choice, since you own the site, and no monthly site fee applies.
| WordPress need | What happens | Who handles it |
|---|---|---|
| A new WordPress site | A theme built for your brand, with every plugin named in the written scope | Us, inside the build price |
| The first 30 days | We watch updates, backups, form delivery and indexing | Us, for the first 30 days |
| Monthly upkeep after that | Core, theme and plugin updates, one at a time | Your team, a developer you choose, or short requests to us |
| Layout changes and plugin conflicts | Code work, outside the editor | A short request to us, or your own developer |
| An inherited site | A review of the theme and plugins, weighing a cleanup against a new theme | Portland Peak SEO, as part of the free quote |
Pick WordPress when your staff will post news or swap photos every week. Still, a site that rarely changes stays lighter with custom hand-coded design.
Our WordPress website design page also covers themes, plugins and security in full.
How do you start, and how long does a build take?
Portland Peak SEO starts each project with a free recorded video review and a fixed price. Both usually arrive within one business day, and you sign off on a written scope next. Count on 4 to 5 weeks of build time for Starter, while Growth needs 5 to 8.
Expect a 10 to 15 minute video, as well as a short written audit you keep. No site yet? The founder reviews your notes instead.
After you sign off on the design, a private staging link lets you watch the build. At launch, the code moves into your accounts, and then monitoring begins.
Whose sites did we build or rebuild, and what do the dated numbers show?
Portland Peak SEO built the 43-page WordPress site for Blue Heron Services, a Tualatin exterior cleaner. The site ranked third in Wincher for "Lake Oswego roof cleaning" during September 2026. Under our local SEO, a West Linn search for the site gained 22 places, to third, by March 27, 2026.
| Client | The work | Result | Tool and date |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blue Heron Services | A 43-page WordPress launch, one page per service | A roof cleaning term: third place | Wincher, September 2026 |
| Same site, West Linn | Local SEO on the same site | Up 22 places to third, West Linn search | Wincher, March 27, 2026 |
| U.S. Title Records | Rebuilt 17 pages, launched September 15, 2026 | Position 8.4 on average, against 9.2 before | Search Console, September 2026 |
| Same client, whole site | The whole site, before the September rebuild | 9.33K clicks from 820K impressions | Search Console, spring and summer 2026 (May 18 to August 16) |
Content and links shaped those rankings too. These numbers describe other businesses, so read them as a record, not a forecast for yours. A ranking also measures visibility, while sales depend on much more.

Should a Lake Oswego owner hire Portland Peak SEO, or someone else?
Portland Peak SEO fits a Lake Oswego business that wants a published price, a written scope and code it owns. Our work stops at organic search and websites. So owners who want ads, social posts and branding under one roof should pick a full-service agency.
| You will likely be happy here if | Look elsewhere if |
|---|---|
| You serve one location, or a few towns from Lake Oswego to Tualatin | You want paid media and brand work from one agency |
| A written price matters to you before design begins | You plan to rearrange layouts yourself every week, in a site builder |
| Every login should carry your name, not a studio's | You need designers on call daily, as in-house staff would be |

Questions Lake Oswego owners ask before a build
Prices, platforms and ownership
What changes the price of a Lake Oswego website?
Portland Peak SEO sets the tier by page count, services and features. Expect 5 to 8 pages on Starter, 10 to 25 on Growth, and 30 or more on Authority. We price anything added later separately, in writing, before building it.
Hand-coded, WordPress or Squarespace: which do you use?
Portland Peak SEO works in plain hand-written code, in WordPress, or in both together. Existing platforms can stay, too: one client runs a 19-page site on Squarespace. Either way, your free quote names the platform it recommends and says why.
Whose name is on the code, domain and logins?
Portland Peak SEO transfers the finished code and content to you on launch day. Registrations for the domain and hosting, and every Google login, carry your name, not ours. So moving to another host or developer needs no permission from us.
Does the price cover hosting?
Portland Peak SEO leaves hosting out of the build price, so you pay a host of your choosing directly. If you ask, we will name a host that suits your build. The domain and its SSL certificate also bill through their own providers.
WordPress, redesigns and rankings
After launch, who runs WordPress updates and fixes?
Portland Peak SEO supports the WordPress sites it builds for 30 days after launch, watching updates, backups, forms and indexing. Afterward, short requests to us cover layout changes and plugin conflicts. Your own team or another developer can also take over, because you own the site.
What happens to my Google traffic during a redesign?
Portland Peak SEO expects some movement in Google traffic for a few weeks after a redesign, while Google recrawls. We map every old address to its new page before launch, with one permanent redirect each and no chains. Search Console then shows whether Google has picked up the move.
How soon will a new site show up in Google?
Portland Peak SEO sites show up in Google once it finds and indexes them, while competitive searches take months. No one, Portland Peak SEO included, can honestly promise a ranking position. So you watch the first changes in your own data.
Location and service area
Where in Lake Oswego is Portland Peak SEO based?
Portland Peak SEO’s office is in Lake Oswego, Oregon, in the 97034 ZIP code. The founder, Andreas Benavente, has led the practice since 2015, and email and video handle day-to-day project work. Our Google Business Profile listing sits in Lake Oswego as well.
Can West Linn, Tualatin or Tigard businesses hire you?
Portland Peak SEO builds sites for businesses across the towns around Lake Oswego, at the same three prices. West Linn, Tualatin, Tigard and Milwaukie owners work with us the same way. A firm serving several of those towns usually needs Growth, with a page for each place it truly works.
Free quotes, mockups and next steps
What arrives after I ask for a quote?
Portland Peak SEO’s free quote pairs a recorded video review of your site with a short written audit. A fixed price also comes with them, usually within one business day. Nothing binds you until the written scope has your approval.
Is there a way to preview the design first?
Portland Peak SEO offers a free website mockup: a homepage design for your business. It lets you judge the look of the new site before you spend anything. You can request it on its own or alongside the free quote, and no build starts until you decide.
We have never had a website. Where do we start?
Portland Peak SEO builds first websites too, and the quote form works without a site address. Describe the business, the towns you serve and the main job the site must do. A new small business usually fits Starter at $2,200, and before you commit, the free mockup can show its homepage.
Do you also do SEO for Lake Oswego businesses?
Portland Peak SEO offers monthly SEO for Lake Oswego firms in three plans: $450, $950 or $2,500. Plans run month to month, with no setup fee, and stay optional after any build. A single-location business, for example, usually starts on Local, and rankings show in your own Wincher login.
Request a video review of your Lake Oswego site
Put your website address in the form below, or describe the business if there is no site yet. The founder records a video review and prices the project, typically within one business day.
Your information is secure. We also never spam or share your data.
